Civil Protection has lifted confinement orders in Masllorenç and Masarbones after firefighters declared the fire, which burned 11.5 hectares, stabilized.

The Civil Protection agency has removed the confinement measures ordered due to the forest fire in Masllorenç, in the Baix Penedès region, once firefighters declared the blaze stabilized around five in the afternoon this Wednesday. The flames have affected a provisional area of 11.5 hectares, according to data from the Rural Agents, spanning the municipal terms of Bonastre and Montferri, in the Alt Camp region.
The fire originated in the municipality of Montferri. The firefighting efforts involved up to 46 ground crews and 7 aerial units. Civil Protection had previously ordered the preventive confinement of approximately five hundred people residing in two population centers, Masllorenç and Masarbones, as well as several urbanizations such as la Font d'en Talló, la Pineda de Santa Cristina, Torre Forta de Santa Cristina, and el Coll de la Rubiola.
