The city of Badalona is preparing to host the eleventh edition of the 100 km BDN Challenge on Sunday, October 11th, a 100% solidarity race aimed at raising funds for the Association of Families and Friends of Children with Cancer of Catalonia (AFANOC).

The event, now in its 11th edition, will be held along Badalona's Maritime Promenade. It is open to both amateur and professional athletes, with individual and team relay options.
During the official presentation, third deputy mayor Rosa del Amo highlighted the race's strong solidarity component, focusing on the needs of children and young people undergoing cancer treatment and their families. The Badalona City Council has reaffirmed its support for the initiative.
The 5-kilometer circuit along the promenade requires 20 laps to complete the 100 km. The maximum time allowed for the race is 14 hours. Various participation categories are available, including 100 km and 50 km individual and team relays, as well as a free distance option.
The race will start at 7:30 AM. Registrations are now open via the 9hsports.cat website for 35 euros, which includes a race bib, t-shirt, socks, and collaborator gifts. Donations can also be made through the Fila 0 or by purchasing the race t-shirt (20€) and socks (15€).
All proceeds will go to AFANOC, a non-profit organization that provides free accommodation and psychological support to families who have to travel for their children's cancer treatments.
