Individuals interested in accessing these new public housing units in Badalona can now register. The process begins with registration in the Official Protected Housing Applicants Registry (HPO), an essential requirement to participate in the allocation processes.
One of the developments is located on Liszt street, in the La Pau neighborhood, where construction has begun on a building with 16 official protected housing units for sale. These flats, which will have two or three bedrooms and an area between 73 and 99 m², will have a sale price ranging from €184,470.00 to €226,254.60 (excluding VAT).
The other development is located on Richard Strauss street, in the La Salut neighborhood, where 19 official protected housing units for rent will be built, with a monthly price of €546.50.
To be eligible for one of the homes, applicants must be pre-registered in the Badalona Official Protected Housing Applicants Registry, with the city as their municipality of demand. Registrations can be made in person at the Local Housing Office or online via the website habitatgebadalona2027.cat.
Requirements for participation include continuous residency and registration in the city for the two years prior, holding Spanish nationality or a valid residence permit, not owning any other property, and meeting the economic requirements established for accessing protected housing. Allottees must use the housing as their primary and permanent residence, and specific units will be reserved for individuals with reduced mobility.
“"We are talking about a type of housing that is very necessary in Badalona, both from a social point of view and to respond to the needs of middle-class families in the city. With these two developments, we are making affordable sale housing and social rental housing available to citizens, with the aim that more families can access decent housing."
The Mayor of Badalona, Xavier Garcia Albiol, visited the construction site of the housing development on Liszt street. The first phase of this development has already begun with earthworks, excavations, and the construction of foundations and perimeter walls, before starting the building construction and finishing the flats.
