Starting in October, established activities such as the rehearsals for the choir Veus del Mar, the discussion groups "Avui parlem de..." (Today we talk about...), and the easy reading clubs "En català llegim i parlem" (In Catalan we read and talk) are returning. These proposals aim to foster language use in a relaxed and participatory environment.
The choir Veus del Mar, a collaboration between the CNL and the Conservatory of Music of Badalona, allows participants to practice Catalan while learning to sing. Rehearsals are weekly, from October to June, and require no prior level of language or singing proficiency. The activity, now in its sixth year, offers registration through an online form.
The new monthly monographic discussion groups, "Avui parlem de...", are designed to encourage conversation. Each session will feature a guest specialist who will introduce a topic, followed by an open debate. They will take place on the third Tuesday of each month, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, at the Cor de Marina venue (Rambla, 11). Participation requires a Basic 3 (A2) level of Catalan.
The easy reading clubs "En català, llegim i parlem" involve conversations around reading a book in Catalan. These clubs are held in various libraries in Badalona and Sant Adrià, as well as at the Centre de Recursos i Assessorament per a les Dones de Badalona. Books are loaned by the libraries, and registration is done directly at the respective center.
