Throughout October, three organizations in Badalona hosted linguistic awareness sessions to promote the use of Catalan.

During October, the Associació de Veïns del Centre, the Centre Excursionista de Badalona, and the Castellers de Badalona organized linguistic awareness sessions for their members and users. The main objective of these meetings was to foster reflection on daily linguistic habits and highlight the importance of maintaining Catalan in all conversations and situations.
The sessions were conducted in a participatory atmosphere, combining explanations, practical examples, and moments of collective reflection. Attendees shared personal experiences and identified common situations where language switching occurs automatically and unconsciously. Facilitators provided strategies for maintaining Catalan usage.
In the session with the Castellers de Badalona, around thirty participants of various ages attended before their rehearsal on Tuesday, October 13th, which concluded with the raising of a 'pilar de quatre' (a four-level human tower). All participants were encouraged to take on the 21-day challenge, a campaign designed to solidify Catalan usage for three weeks, helping learners gain fluency and contributing to language revitalization.
Local entities and associations are considered key spaces for social cohesion and increasing the use of Catalan, offering safe environments for learners to practice and build confidence.
