The City Council of Barcelona launches PLEC, a new platform to bring fashion and design closer to citizens, which will be presented during the 38th edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion.

The city of Barcelona will launch the PLEC platform, an initiative aimed at bringing the world of fashion and design closer to the general public, coinciding with the celebration of the 38th edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion. This platform is part of the Strategic Fashion Plan 2025-30, with the objective of promoting Barcelona's fashion culture.
The Commissioner for Economic Promotion, Commerce, and Fashion Plan, Nadia Quevedo, presented the new initiative alongside Moisés Rodríguez, director of the Consorci de Comerç, Artesania i Moda (CCAM), and Marta Coca, head of the Fashion area and project manager of 080 Barcelona Fashion. The event will take place from October 20th to 23rd at Marina Vela- Port Vell.
PLEC aims to open up the city's creative industries to foster fashion culture, highlighting Barcelona's emerging and established talent. According to Quevedo, the platform seeks to connect the various creative disciplines and showcase them throughout the city, making fashion accessible to citizens.
The 080 Barcelona Fashion will feature 26 fashion shows and include the fifth edition of 080 REBORN, as well as an extensive program of activities in the Open Area with 080Spot_SpainGallery and 080_ BeyondCrafts.
