The city of Barcelona and Shanghai have taken advantage of the 25th anniversary of their twinning to strengthen collaboration ties. During a business and institutional forum held in Barcelona, several collaboration agreements were formalized between organizations and companies from both territories.
This event underscores the commitment to continue fostering relationships in key areas for economic and technological development. The Barcelona Chamber of Commerce has highlighted the importance of these agreements in promoting competitiveness and innovation.
Other initiatives by the Chamber include support for 17 startups in Vallès Oriental to improve logistics, a mobility diagnosis in Maresme to strengthen the connection with Barcelona, and the mobilization of over 4.5 million euros in European funds for Catalan companies.
The Chamber has also warned about delays in the expansion of Barcelona airport and has promoted employment fairs that have facilitated over 10,300 job interviews. Additionally, it opened the doors of La Llotja de Mar for the La Mercè festivities and championed the primary sector and local products at the Santa Tecla Fair in Berga.
The institution also positions space as a key lever for the economic and technological transformation of the country, and reaffirms its commitment to Dual Vocational Training in Vallès Oriental.
