Connect Health: New initiative to unite health and technology at MWC27

The new Connect Health program, driven by GSMA and Mobile World Capital (MWCapital), will connect clinical and healthcare needs with technologies transforming the health sector, such as artificial intelligence and connectivity.

This initiative will bring together key players from the health, technology, and industrial ecosystems within the framework of MWC27 and 4YFN. The goal is to share knowledge, showcase real solutions and use cases, and generate new collaboration opportunities.
The initiators, GSMA and Mobile World Capital Barcelona, presented the initiative today at the Barcelona City Council during an informative and working meeting. The program is supported by the Barcelona City Council, the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Function, and industry entities such as Asociación Salud Digital (ASD), AseBio, Biocat, Farmaindustria, Fenin, and TIC Salut i Social.
The meeting was attended by Jordi Valls, fourth deputy mayor of the Barcelona City Council and head of the Economy, Housing, Finance, and Tourism area; Albert Tort, Secretary of Telecommunications and Digital Transformation of the Generalitat de Catalunya; Laia Ripoll, Head of Business Spain at GSMA; Laia Corbella, CEO of Mobile World Capital Barcelona; Jaume Raventós, president of the Asociación Salud Digital (ASD); Cristina Nadal, president of AseBio; Robert Fabregat, CEO of Biocat; Fina Lladós, president of Farmaindustria; Andreas Förster, president of Fenin Catalunya; Pilar Navarro, innovation director at Fenin; and Jordi Piera, research manager at the Fundació Tic Salut i Social. Also present were the Mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, and the Consellera of Economy and Finance of the Generalitat, Alícia Romero.
