The Mossos d’Esquadra and the National Police have arrested two women, aged 14 and 17, in the Maresme and Bages regions for their alleged involvement in public disorder and looting incidents in Barcelona on October 24th.

The joint investigation, coordinated by the Juvenile Section of the Provincial Prosecutor's Office of Barcelona, began to determine the responsibilities of those involved in the planning, coordination, and dissemination of calls related to the riots.
The arrested individuals were administrators of communication groups created to facilitate the coordination of participants in the events. Access to these groups was promoted through posters on social media, featuring a QR code leading to WhatsApp channels from which the looting and riots were organized.
The inquiries also confirmed the minors' active participation in managing these groups. The investigation remains open, and further actions are not ruled out.
