The Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, together with Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona, has consolidated its healthcare leadership by obtaining five new CSUR and XUEC accreditations from the Ministry of Health and the Generalitat de Catalunya.

These designations recognize excellence in the care of patients with pathologies requiring a high degree of diagnostic and therapeutic complexity, ensuring access to the most appropriate care for their condition for patients from Catalonia and Spain.
At the regional level, two XUEC accreditations have been obtained: one for rare cardiac diseases, covering three areas of specialization in cardiomyopathies, channelopathies, and congenital defects, led by Dr. Elena Arbelo, Dr. Ana García, and Dr. Silvia Montserrat; and another for rare ophthalmological diseases, encompassing five care areas coordinated by various specialists, including Dr. Bernardo Sánchez-Dalmau.
Nationally, the Ministry of Health has designated the hospitals as CSUR for refractory epilepsy, led by Dr. Mar Carreño; complex pediatric neurosurgery, coordinated by Dr. Joaquim Enseñat; and diverse sexual development, under the coordination of Dr. Mireia Mora.
These accreditations underscore the centers' commitment to multidisciplinary, innovative, and patient-centered care, facilitating access to the latest diagnostic and therapeutic advancements and promoting participation in research projects.
