With a free and open proposal for all audiences, the festival will span 10,500 m² and offer over 60 activities, 400 games, and 200 new releases. The celebration will feature a new stage for live activities and participatory events.
The Professional Congress, now in its third edition, will take place over two days and include the presentation of a pioneering study on board game industry trends in Spain. It will also feature international participation from Ken Suzuki, a professional from Japan's Arclight Games.
This year's edition also highlights the educational aspect with Escoles al DAU (Schools at DAU), where around 1,000 children and 90 teachers from over 30 educational centers will participate in activities demonstrating board games as a learning tool.
On the evening of Friday, November 13, the traditional DAU Awards ceremony will be held at SAT! Teatre, honoring talent, creativity, and innovation in the world of board games.
The festival also strengthens its local roots with DAU als Barris (DAU in the Neighborhoods), a pre-festival program featuring 10 recreational activities in 9 locations across Barcelona. DAU Barcelona, organized by KID’S CLUSTER in collaboration with the Institut de Cultura de l’Ajuntament de Barcelona, is supported by DEVIR, Asmodee, Mercurio, the Barcelona City Council, ACCIÓ, and the Generalitat de Catalunya.
