The Generalitat and the Barcelona City Council have informed residents affected by the L9 construction works in El Putxet that they will be able to return to their 15 homes and one commercial space at Teodora Lamadrid, 5, from October 26th.

Once the necessary consolidation and monitoring tasks are completed, residents will be able to return to the building. So far, 54 homes and 8 commercial spaces affected by incidents related to the works have been cleared to return. With the return to Teodora Lamadrid, 5, 18 homes and seven commercial spaces will remain pending.
Regarding the most affected core area (Rubinstein, 2 and 4, and Teodora Lamadrid, 3), verification, consolidation, and repair work is expected to be completed in the coming months. By early next year, all families are anticipated to return to their homes and activity to resume in the commercial spaces.
The Generalitat and the City Council are working in coordination to enhance support measures for those affected. A permanent L9 works monitoring office has been established to improve information and citizen services.
