For 24 hours, every product purchased by Endor Technologies' clients directly contributed to the hospital's childhood cancer research program. This initiative, held shortly before the World Day of Research against Cancer (September 24th), aims to generate new resources and involve the client community in supporting science.
This solidarity initiative marks its second edition, surpassing the 67,120 euros raised the previous year. In 2024, the company had already dedicated a day's revenue to research on Ewing's sarcoma at the same center. The success of that first edition laid the groundwork for expanding the action this year, incorporating new companies.
Joaquin Querol, CEO and founder of Endor, highlighted the importance of client response and the initiative's continuity: "It is particularly important to see how an action that began two years ago continues to grow and involves more people and new companies. We want to continue contributing, through our activity, to generating resources that help research advance and open new opportunities for children and adolescents with cancer."
Childhood cancer is a rare disease, distinct from adult cancer, which limits commercial interest in its research. Consequently, a significant portion of its funding relies on solidarity and philanthropy.
The SJD Pediatric Cancer Center Barcelona is Spain's first dedicated center for the treatment and research of childhood cancer. With over 20 years of experience in translational research and a team of more than 50 professionals, the center obtains around 70% of its budget through donations. Its research focuses on new treatments for aggressive pediatric tumors, immunotherapy, advanced therapies, and precision medicine, investigating diseases such as leukemias, lymphomas, gliomas, sarcomas, and neuroblastoma.
The funds raised will contribute to advancing these research lines, offering new treatment opportunities for children and adolescents with cancer.
