The Barcelona City Council is starting work this week to improve the pavement conditions on the Ronda Litoral, near the Moll de la Fusta, with nightly closures planned for two months.

The Barcelona City Council has announced the commencement of works to enhance the pavement conditions of the Ronda Litoral, specifically in the section near the Moll de la Fusta. This intervention, set to begin next Tuesday, October 13th, aims to resolve waterproofing and pavement integrity issues, which suffer from frequent water infiltration and degradation.
The project will involve cement injections beneath the road's foundation slab. These actions will focus on the joint connecting two tunnel sections built at different times: the Colom tunnel (1989-1990) and the Moll de la Fusta tunnel (1991), at kilometer point 10.838. Work will be carried out on a 24-meter section heading towards Llobregat and a 9-meter section heading towards Besòs.
The works are scheduled to last for two months, between October and December, with an investment of 740,000 euros. To minimize disruption, traffic closures will be implemented on weeknights, from Monday to Thursday, between 11:00 PM and 5:30 AM, affecting accesses 21 and 22.
In the direction of Besòs, traffic will be diverted via exit 21 onto Josep Carner promenade, then Colom promenade and Doctor Aiguader street, to re-enter the highway at entrance 22. Towards Llobregat, the diversion will be via exit 22 onto Doctor Aiguader street, Isabel II promenade, Colom promenade, and Josep Carner promenade, to re-enter at entrance 21.
