The City Council asks citizens to follow a series of tips and recommendations to minimize the risks associated with the predicted rain and storms.
Among the recommendations for rain and storms are checking roofs, lightning rods, drains, and downspouts to remove accumulated debris. It is also advised to disconnect electrical appliances, remove outdoor furniture and objects that could be washed away by water, and store toxic products out of reach of water. It is recommended to have useful items at hand such as a charged mobile phone, essential medications, warm clothing, and personal documents. Additionally, pets should be brought indoors.
Regarding driving in the rain, it is advised to moderate speed, brake gently, maintain a safe distance from other vehicles, do not drive through flooded areas, and stop if necessary.
