This Monday, the municipal plan was activated due to the high risk of forest fires in the city, marking one of the most dangerous days of the year. The seven fire stations of Barcelona Firefighters will remain on alert, with resources specifically allocated to Collserola, in anticipation of potential mass forest fires.
The public is urged to exercise maximum caution. Since March 15th, it has been prohibited to carry out forestry work or any activity that could generate sparks within 500 meters of forest areas, including burning waste and barbecues.
The forest campaign by Barcelona Firefighters, which began in June, will be active until mid-September. The Directorate of Civil Protection, Prevention, and Fire Extinguishing and Rescue (SPCPEIS) has reinforced its resources to respond quickly to potential forest fires during the summer months.
Teams are deployed across the nearly 1,800 hectares of forest park belonging to Barcelona, spread across the districts of Les Corts, Sarrià-Sant Gervasi, Horta-Guinardó, and Nou Barris.
