The future green area will span 2,995 square meters and is expected to be completed in approximately eight months. This space will revive the course of the ancient Lligalbé stream, linked to a 12th-century farmhouse.
The project includes relaxation zones, the preservation of heritage elements, and the incorporation of about 1,450 square meters of vegetation. It will also feature a 195-square-meter health circuit, new urban furniture, and a sustainable drainage system.
The works, with a budget of 969,000 euros, will integrate the Sant Pere passage with a longitudinal path that revives the stream's configuration. The park's vegetation will combine trees, shrubs, plants, and grasses, with over thirty new species to be added to the existing, preserved trees.
Furthermore, a fountain will be restored, and LED lighting, including about ten lampposts, will be installed. The design also plans to preserve a stone wall from the Camí de la Llengua, an old rural route in Baix Guinardó, as well as a stone that marked the turn towards the Lligalbé stream for carts.
