The proposal aims to establish the first non-stop connection between Spain and Vietnam. The main objective of this initiative is to foster commercial exchange and boost tourist flow in both directions, as indicated by institutional sources during the official trip to Southeast Asia.
Despite the willingness expressed by the parties, the project is in an initial phase. The airline has pointed out that there is a shortage of aircraft capable of covering intercontinental routes due to high global demand in the aeronautical sector.

Representatives from the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce and its Vietnamese counterpart also participated in the working meetings. These entities see the route as an opportunity to promote investments and commercial alliances between Catalan companies and the Vietnamese market.
