The executive committee of Barcelona Global has been renewed with nine new members, including prominent figures from the business and communication sectors, to drive the city's strategy as a "global talent capital".

The composition of the new executive committee of Barcelona Global welcomes nine distinguished members, including Silvia Alsina, general director of the communication consultancy Roman; Chema Casas, general director of Telefónica in Catalonia; Michelin-starred chef Romain Fornell; Michael Goldenberg, general director of Value Retail (owner of La Roca Village); Ousman Umar, founder of the NGO Nasco Feeding Minds; Ernest Quingles, co-founder of Axia&Partners; and Isabel Vidal, general manager of Grup Focus. They join vice-presidents Rafael Fontana and Lluís Seguí.
Continuing on the executive committee, alongside vice-president Carmina Ganyet, are 11 other members: Maria Alsina (CaixaBank); Michael Blackman (ISE); Ana Godó (Grupo Godó); Sergi Loughney (Fundació La Caixa); Ainhoa Moll (Prensa Ibérica); Jaume Oliu (Harvest Capital Management); Daniel Puig (FBCN); Lidan Qi Xhou (Aleu Medical); Josep Tabernero (Vall d’Hebron Institut d’Oncologia); and Carles Ventura (Banc Sabadell). Héctor Bros, a partner at Cuatrecasas, will remain as secretary, and Mercè Conesa will continue as general director.
The new phase under Sanfeliu's leadership will be based on three pillars: people, strategic sectors with future and roots in the city, and investment attraction. The transversal priority will be to make Barcelona a city that is "more open, welcoming, competitive, and prepared to lead major international projects". The goal is for the city to be recognized as a "global talent capital", attracting, retaining, and growing professionals, companies, and investments that contribute to economic prosperity and social progress.
Sanfeliu, a member of Barcelona Global since its founding in 2011, has served on the executive committees of five former presidents. The association, which has had presidents such as María Reig, Joaquim Coello, Emilio Cuatrecasas, Marian Puig, Gonzalo Rodés, Pau Guardans, Aurora Catà, and Maite Barrera (all now honorary presidents), comprises over 1,300 members, including leading companies, research centers, entrepreneurs, business schools, universities, and cultural institutions.
