Barcelona promotes a new roadmap for citizen participation until 2028

Barcelona City Council will present this Tuesday, July 21, the new 2026-2028 Participation Plan, an initiative designed to promote more open, diverse, and technologically advanced collaboration mechanisms.

The official event will take place at 9:30 a.m. in the Saló de Cròniques of the Barcelona city hall. The presentation will be led by the Deputy Mayor responsible for the area, accompanied by various councilors, commissioners, and municipal managers linked to the areas of participation, democratic innovation, and social rights.
In addition to institutional representation, the day will feature the participation of various social agents and city entities. Participants will include representatives from the Fundació Ferrer i Guàrdia, the Barcelona Association Council, the Comissió d'Empara, and the FAVB, who will provide their vision on the new governance model.
