The start of the week in Barcelona and its metropolitan region is set to be cool and unstable. The weather forecast indicates a Monday with significant cloud cover, potentially bringing intermittent showers or rain throughout the day. While large amounts of water are not expected, some downpours could be intense, being more probable during the morning and midday. However, some areas near the sea and south of the city might remain dry.
As the day progresses, a gradual improvement is anticipated. Towards the evening, the clouds are expected to break clearly, leading to a calmer sky. Temperatures will remain stable, with highs potentially nearing 20 ºC during moments when the sun manages to peek through.
The trend for the rest of the week points towards increasingly stable and warmer conditions. The arrival of an anticyclone is expected, bringing sunshine as the main feature. Nevertheless, some afternoon showers are possible in the pre-coastal areas on Tuesday, and coastal fog might form from Wednesday onwards. Temperatures are set to rise significantly, heading towards an early summer spell with highs potentially exceeding 25 ºC in Barcelona and even reaching 30 ºC in the pre-coastal regions, particularly between Thursday and Saturday.
