The contract, which includes 14 different lots, covers the care and repair of sidewalks, street furniture, roads, and signage. This service is considered key to citizens' perception of neighborhood quality and municipal management.
The investment is broken down into 49.4 million for sidewalks and furniture, 50.3 million for roads, and 15.9 million for signage. The total amount, including additional services and extensions, reaches 178,564,664.48 euros.
Planned actions include asphalt repairs, sidewalk renovations, sewer cover corrections, replacement of damaged signs or furniture, and accessibility ramp improvements. These tasks will be distributed across the city's 10 districts.
The contract also includes systematic inspections using a sensor-equipped vehicle to detect defects, with annual audits for sidewalks and signage, and biennial audits for roads.
The bidding process limits the number of lots a single company can be awarded to six, thus ensuring competition and preventing any one company from taking on the entire service. The awarded companies cannot be the same as those responsible for the supervision and safety contract, valued at 12.6 million euros.
