The measure, which will remain in effect until Wednesday, June 10, affects the area between Còrsega, Provença, Sardenya, and Passeig de Gràcia streets. Additionally, containers located in the immediate vicinity of the temple, bounded by Sicília, Lepant, València, and Rosselló streets, have also been removed.

According to the council, the containers will be moved to nearby alternative locations to facilitate waste management during the restrictions. Specifically, units in the Rosselló area will be relocated to the corners of Provença and Còrsega, while those around the basilica will be moved to the Rosselló and València intersections.

Normal waste collection is expected to resume after 11:00 PM on Wednesday, June 10, once the scheduled official events conclude. Authorities have advised residents to use the temporarily designated collection points.
