Barcelona is preparing for a weekend with more bearable temperatures and variable skies, marking a respite from the intense heat of recent days.

The Catalan capital will experience a notable weather change this weekend, with the arrival of a cooler air mass that will alleviate the high temperatures and sticky humidity. Although a more pleasant atmosphere is expected, occasional atmospheric instability cannot be ruled out, although significant rainfall is not anticipated.
Friday might bring some isolated showers, but the trend will be towards a gradual disappearance of instability throughout the day. On Saturday, the day will begin with a mix of clear spells and low clouds along the coast. As the morning progresses, cloud cover will increase, with possible weak showers or scattered downpours in the upper parts of the city, considered testimonial rain.
The most anticipated news will be the drop in thermometers. Maximum temperatures will hover around 26-27 °C, far from the extreme values of the previous week. Saturday night will also offer a reprieve, with minimums potentially dropping to 21 °C, allowing for more restful sleep without constant reliance on air conditioning.
On Sunday, the sun will gain prominence with intervals of high clouds. The maritime wind, which will blow strongly from midday onwards, will keep humidity high along the coast but prevent temperatures from soaring. Maximums will again be around 28 °C, offering a typical August summer heat.
There are no active alerts for night heat or torrential rains in the Barcelonès region. These conditions suggest a weekend conducive to enjoying public spaces, parks, and outdoor activities in the city.
