The Pla de Barris (Neighborhood Plan) has driven a comprehensive transformation of Albert Llanas and Miquel dels Sants Oliver streets, with an investment of 2.84 million euros. This project has notably improved the area's accessibility, covering a surface of 5,900 m². Part of the funding comes from the social return of Park Güell entrance fees.
The councilor for Horta-Guinardó and the Pla de Barris, Sara Belbeida, highlighted the renovation as "necessary and a priority" for facilitating pedestrian mobility and updating basic infrastructure like the sewage system.
Sidewalks have been widened to a minimum of 1.80 meters with new panot paving. On Albert Llanas street, elevated pedestrian crossings have been installed to reduce vehicle speed and enhance safety.
In sections of Miquel dels Sants Oliver street, a single-level design has been adopted to increase safety at the exit of the nearby nursery school, with a maximum speed limit of 10 km/h.
Urban services have been buried underground, eliminating overhead wiring. The sewage network has been renewed, public lighting modernized, and railings improved. Existing green spaces have also been preserved.
The district is already working on a new project for the plot between Albert Llanas, Anna Maria Matute, and Cunit streets. This will include slope stabilization, service renewal, and the incorporation of a mechanical vertical mobility system.
