The fifth edition of Kidical Mass in Barcelona gathered hundreds of families who cycled through the streets of Eixample to advocate for children's right to safe and autonomous cycling mobility.

Eight columns of cyclists, arriving from different parts of the city, joined this bike ride, which combined recreational and protest elements. The route started on Aragó street and concluded at Plaça de les Glòries, covering a total of seven kilometers.
Throughout the journey, organizers emphasized the need to improve the connection and signage of bike lanes, ensuring safe intersections across the city. They also called for an expansion of bicycle parking areas near educational centers and the pacification of some school environments to guarantee the safety of children.
After previous editions were held in the districts of Sant Andreu and Sant Martí, Kidical Mass returned this year to Eixample, the same location where the first edition took place in 2022. That initial event brought together over 2,000 participants, solidifying the movement as a key annual event promoting safe children's mobility.
This edition of Kidical Mass concluded an intense weekend of cycling advocacy in Barcelona. On Friday, Massa Crítica was held, a monthly bike ride that takes place in numerous cities worldwide to defend cyclists' rights and promote a more sustainable city model. On Saturday, May 2, the Criticona (also known as Pantumacona) took place, a gathering of cyclists held annually in a different city in Spain, which, after a decade, returned to the Catalan capital.
