The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested two individuals in connection with a shooting that occurred in a flat in Barcelona's Born district on Tuesday night, during the Sant Joan festivities.

The Catalan police have apprehended two suspects believed to be involved in a firearm incident that took place in a Born residence on Tuesday around 11 PM. According to Superintendent Ignasi Teixidó, deputy head of the Mossos in Barcelona, evidence suggests a dispute between drug trafficking gangs.
Teixidó stated that the detainees attempted to flee from the police and initially did not cooperate with the investigation. At least one person was injured as a result of the shooting, although no further details about their identity or condition have been released.
Police sources have informed ACN that the Criminal Investigation Division is handling the case, also examining two other incidents that, according to these sources, are not directly related to the shooting.
On the same night, a short distance from the shooting scene, a Guàrdia Urbana patrol stopped a vehicle and seized a pistol and approximately one kilogram of cocaine. Additionally, that night, a man suffering from a gunshot wound was admitted to Bellvitge Hospital.
