The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested a 26-year-old woman for stealing 920 euros from a parish in the Nou Barris neighborhood of Barcelona, money that was earmarked for children's outings.

As confirmed by the police, the woman allegedly deceived the 79-year-old priest by posing as someone in need to gain access to the office where the funds were kept. Once inside, she reportedly took advantage of the clergyman's absence to steal the money.
The incident occurred on April 15th around 8 PM. At the time of her arrest, the woman was also found to be in possession of the priest's mobile phone.
The investigation remains open to clarify all details of the theft and identify any potential accomplices. The Mossos d'Esquadra do not rule out further arrests in connection with this case.
This incident occurs amidst municipal data indicating a reduction in criminal offenses in Barcelona over the past two years, including a 7.6% decrease in petty thefts compared to the previous year.
