This summer and autumn, the Barcelona History Museum invites visitors to delve into the history of the Ribera neighborhood during the modern age with the Born de Nit cycle. Activities will take place on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, from 8 PM to 10 PM, with a price of €8 per route.
The Thursday itinerary, titled Black Chronicle. Conflict, Violence, and Justice in 1700, delves into the darker side of 18th-century Barcelona. Through preserved documentation and a neighborhood tour, visitors will learn about episodes of conflict, hatred, and revenge, as well as the functioning of justice and its punishments during that era.
On Fridays, the guided tour and workshop Night of Archaeology. Looking at the Past Through a Microscope will be held. This experimental activity will allow participants to sift through samples of organic remains found at the archaeological site to discover the diet of the inhabitants of 1700s Barcelona. Afterwards, a night visit through the remains of streets and houses from that period will allow observation of the city's landscape, its inhabitants' diet, and even common diseases.
Reservations and all detailed information can be found on the museum's website.
