The Montjuïc venue of Fira de Barcelona becomes the epicenter of comics this weekend with the celebration of the 44th edition of Comic Barcelona.

This edition is distinguished by a clear commitment to diversity, focusing on creative trends from Asia. The event will feature a hundred guests, including prominent authors from Japan, Hong Kong, and South Korea, establishing itself as one of the most international editions to date.
The program includes a dozen thematic exhibitions ranging from fantasy literature classics like The Lord of the Rings to the impact of artificial intelligence on artistic creation. It will also highlight the careers of relevant figures in the sector with exhibitions dedicated to their creative evolution and works that have marked the history of national comics.
One of the highlights this year is the presence of numerous creators nominated for the award for the best Spanish comic work. For the first time, the list of finalists is composed entirely of women, a fact that underscores the quality and relevance of female proposals in the current comic landscape.
In addition to exhibitions and meetings with authors, the fair maintains its commitment to family audiences through Comic Kids. This space will offer workshops and educational activities, featuring the special participation of the Manga Barcelona mascot, thus strengthening the link between both cultural disciplines.
