The special vehicle for Pope Leo XIV, known as the Papamobile, has arrived in Barcelona, transported by an Air Force plane from Rome, just days before the apostolic visit to Catalonia.

The city of Barcelona is preparing to welcome Pope Leo XIV on June 9th and 10th. As part of the logistics for this event, one of the two vehicles the pontiff will use, the Papamobile, has landed in the city, having been flown in from Rome by the Spanish Air and Space Force.
This special vehicle, along with other necessary materials for the papal visit, has been handed over to the National Police. This police force will be responsible for the Papamobile's custody and overall security during the apostolic journey, which is considered the visit of a head of state.
The National Police expressed their gratitude on social media for the "work and collaboration" of the Air Force, highlighting its "fundamental role in the logistics of the security device" planned for the visit.
Pope Leo XIV's apostolic journey will also include visits to Madrid, Tenerife, and Gran Canaria, making this trip to Spain a highly significant event.
