Writer Roser Cabré-Verdiell has been awarded the 55th Crexells Award, granted by the Ateneu Barcelonès, for her novel Que morin els fills dels altres.

The jury of the competition highlighted the text's ability to question the family institution, as well as the strength of its prose and the rhythm of the narrative. The work, published by the Males Herbes publishing house, explores fears and desire through a protagonist who moves to live in Ocata, in the municipality of El Masnou.
The plot focuses on the relationship between two families and how the protagonist's anxiety transforms into a personal journey towards courage. According to the author, the title of the novel reflects a deep human longing regarding fear and possibility, connecting the story with the figure of witches throughout history.

"The Crexells is an award with an exquisite trajectory and being part of the list of winners is between a responsibility and a joy."
