The project 'Totes som Punt Lila' (We are all Lila Points) has been established in the Raval neighborhood with the aim of making gender-based violence visible through a feminist, local, and territory-rooted approach. These points, which can range from a private establishment to a public facility, act as community radars that raise awareness about gender-based violence in the neighborhood through solidarity.
Currently, there are 12 Lila Points in Raval serving as safe spaces and support centers. These spaces are promoted by neighborhood associations, feminist and social entities, as well as the local business community. Among the participating establishments and facilities are CONVIVE Fundació Cepaim, ACESOP, Centre Cívic Drassanes, Associació Esportiva Ciutat Vella, SOS Racisme, Escola Mediterráneo International House, Gimnàs Social Sant Pau, BV Perruqueria, Bar la Ravala, Biblioteca Santa Pau, òptica Univers de la Visió, and Herbolari Llansà.
The initiative is supported technically and politically by the Federació d’Associacions Veïnals de Barcelona (FAVB). The project's goal is to create spaces of trust led by residents, fostering collective empowerment, awareness, prevention, and community response to gender-based violence.
The project originated from the Community Sorority Process in Neighborhoods, which began in Besòs i el Maresme in 2019, focusing on the protection and empowerment of women against daily violence in public spaces. Later, the Women's Commission of the FAVB became a key driver for feminist activism.
These points help strengthen the circuit against gender-based violence, reinforce the neighborhood community network, promote awareness and prevention, and make violence visible in all areas. Individuals with basic training in gender-based violence working at these points can offer listening, welcome, initial support, and referral to professional resources.
