More than 200 medical professionals demonstrated this Wednesday in the center of Barcelona, blocking traffic on Aragó Street, as part of the twelfth day of strikes in the healthcare sector.

The mobilization, called by the sector's majority union, aims to highlight the need for a specific collective agreement to address the labor overload faced by professionals. During the protest, participants expressed their dissatisfaction with the current management of the public health system.
Union representatives have warned that if their demands are not met after the summer, they are prepared to escalate the conflict to make the management of the healthcare system unfeasible. This stance is part of a pressure campaign that, according to the union, is already impacting dialogue with the Government.

"We are prepared to escalate the conflict further until the management of the healthcare system becomes unfeasible."

The doctors have urged the authorities to abandon their current stance and begin real negotiations to resolve the structural deficiencies affecting the daily operations of healthcare centers in Catalonia.
