More than 180 riders from the Tour de France will pass through L'Hospitalet and Barcelona this Sunday, covering a final stretch with traffic closures and citizen activities.

The city of L'Hospitalet is preparing to welcome the Tour de France this Sunday. Over 180 cyclists will cross the city, starting their route from Carretera de Collblanc to Carrer de Sants in Barcelona, marking the final section of the second stage of the French race.
Safety measures are already visible, with barriers and notices regarding parking restrictions and pedestrian routes along the course. There will also be disruptions to public transport services. In L'Hospitalet, the traffic closure on Carretera de Collblanc will be in effect from 2:20 PM until approximately 6:00 PM, with alternative diversions.
The citizens of L'Hospitalet will also play an active role. Around forty volunteers have already been assigned tasks, and the City Council is calling for more participation. The Councilor for Sports, Iman Aisa Abdellaoui, highlighted the public's response and the event's significance for the city: “we are the second city in Catalonia, and for everyone to see and locate L'Hospitalet through the Tour, I believe it is positive for our city”.
As part of the parallel activities, 100 static bicycles will be set up in Parc de la Marquesa, inviting citizens to pedal and collectively cover the 3,338 kilometers of the Tour. This initiative, open to all ages, will take place between 10 AM and 1 PM, and from 3 PM to 7 PM.
Additionally, a multinational hamburger company will make a solidarity donation of 3,338 euros, one euro for each kilometer of the Tour, which will be allocated to the Centre Esclat de Bellvitge. The main peloton is expected to reach Carretera de Collblanc around 5:00 PM, although the road closure will begin at 2:15 PM and reopen at 6:00 PM.
Coinciding with the Tour's arrival, the Generalitat has published the Diccionari de la bicicleta i el ciclisme (Dictionary of Bicycles and Cycling).
