Grupo iLERNA will permanently close its Barcelona campus in June 2027, coinciding with the end of the academic year, citing real estate optimization as the reason.

Sources from the educational institution specializing in Vocational Training have confirmed that the closure of the center, located on Santa Carolina street, is exclusively due to real estate optimization criteria. This decision does not signify the company's departure from the Catalan capital, as they are evaluating options for new facilities both within the city and its metropolitan area.
The closure will take effect in June of next year, ensuring that the 227 students currently in their first year can complete their academic cycle. The group operates other centers across the country, including Jerez, Córdoba, Lleida (where its headquarters are located), Madrid, Sevilla, Tarragona, and Valladolid, in addition to its online services and presence in Italy and France.
Regarding the employees at the Barcelona center, Grupo iLERNA's management has stated that they are promoting new projects and physical centers throughout the country. They are currently working to offer job alternatives related to the company to all staff affected by the closure.
