A large fire has destroyed three dumpsters in the Guinardó neighborhood. The fire occurred at three in the morning at number 74 on Carrer del Segle XX. A unit from the Fire Department responded to the scene and quickly extinguished the blaze.
This incident adds to similar events that have occurred recently in the area. On July 16th, three dumpsters were completely burned on Rambla de la Muntanya, just a few streets from this morning's incident.
These events have caused concern among residents of Guinardó, who fear a repeat of the wave of arson attacks from last year. On that occasion, fires also affected other neighborhoods in Barcelona and destroyed several vehicles.
Last year, in December, the Guardia Urbana and the Mossos d’Esquadra located a 63-year-old man, allegedly involved in these acts, who was arrested while setting fire to two dumpsters on Passeig de Valldaura.
