Guàrdia Urbana officers found an injured person in the street around 12:40 PM this Thursday in the Nou Barris district of Barcelona. They alerted the Mossos d'Esquadra, who have opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the violent death.
The Catalan police force sent several patrols to the scene. Four ambulances from the Emergency Medical Service (SEM) also responded. Paramedics treated the man, who was in very serious condition, and transferred him to a hospital, where he ultimately died.
The Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) of the Mossos d'Esquadra has taken charge of the investigation to determine how the events occurred.
