The Junts municipal group has criticized mobility management in Barcelona, denouncing a widespread traffic collapse due to a lack of coordination in the numerous roadworks affecting the city.

The political group has presented a report detailing 40 critical congestion points spread across the 10 districts of the Catalan capital. According to the group, the temporal coincidence of multiple interventions on public roads, both municipal and from other administrations, has caused a significant worsening in private vehicle and public transport circulation.
During the next Urban Planning commission, the group will request an exhaustive audit on the state of mobility and the impact of these actions on the commercial activity of the neighborhoods. The proposal includes the creation of an advisory council for sustainable mobility and the convening of the Pacte per la Mobilitat to seek consensus-based solutions.

"We demand common sense in planning to make Barcelona a friendly, competitive city that works."

Among the most affected areas, the report highlights key points such as Via Laietana, Plaça Espanya, the surroundings of Camp Nou, and various axes in Eixample and Gràcia. The complaint focuses on the loss of competitiveness and the stress that the current state of road infrastructure causes for citizens.
