The regional channel La 2Cat, led by Oriol Nolis, has achieved an average audience close to a 3% screen share nine months after its launch, consolidating itself with its own identity and aiming to increase Catalan content in its programming.

Since its launch in October 2025, La 2Cat has achieved an average audience approaching a 3% screen share. According to its director, Oriol Nolis, the channel has consolidated its own identity over these nine months.
Nolis emphasizes that the initial challenge has been to improve historically low audience slots on La 2. Although some programs in Spanish maintain good reception, the clear trend is to increase the presence of Catalan. "It is a clear objective: 80%, 90%, and even 100% of broadcast hours is an evident desire," he stated.

"One of the things people tell us is that we grow slowly, but always progressively."

Oriol Nolis · Director of La 2Cat
The director positively assesses this steady growth, considering it a success in the current television landscape, where generalist channels tend to maintain or lose audience. Nolis also highlighted the difficulty of launching new television projects today, due to the influence of streaming platforms and social media.
Nolis described the channel's trajectory as "a small miracle," especially considering the available budget, which limits the capacity to set more ambitious goals. Efficient resource management is key for the channel's future.
