The Olympic medalist, who won silver at Barcelona 92 and gold at Atlanta 96, noted that Catalan water polo serves as a model for many countries. He currently coaches the women's section of the Club Natació Mataró.

According to his statements, the Barcelona region and its surroundings boast unparalleled water polo activity. Every weekend, around 90 matches across all categories are played, a figure equivalent to the total number of games played in Brazil over an entire year.
The coach confessed that his current vocation emerged unexpectedly. After retiring as a player, he moved away from water polo, an experience he described as traumatic. However, an opportunity in sports management brought him back to the pools, where he discovered his true passion.
“"I want to die as a coach, because here I have found my true calling."
This dedication is reflected in his future vision, where he sees himself continuing his coaching work. The presence of swimming clubs in almost every neighborhood of Barcelona is a key factor that, according to him, is not found anywhere else in the world.
