Wines from the Empordà Designation of Origin will be featured at Barcelona's Wine Festivals, an initiative blending wine, gastronomy, and music in various urban locations across the Catalan capital over the coming months.

These festivals, designed as small open-air celebrations, aim to introduce Catalan wines to the public in a relaxed and festive atmosphere. The Regulatory Council of the Empordà Designation of Origin has formalized an agreement to ensure its participation in these events, which will take place in commercial areas and open spaces throughout the city.
The Wine Festivals program includes dates in neighborhoods such as Gràcia, Poblenou, Sant Antoni, Horta, and the Port Olímpic. Additionally, new activities are planned for the autumn in Plaça de la Catedral, Rambla de Catalunya, and the Palo Alto Market venue.
At each of these celebrations, the Empordà Designation of Origin will have its own dedicated space where attendees can sample a diverse selection of Empordà wines. The offering will primarily include young and fresh white, red, and rosé wines, specifically chosen to complement the informal festival format.
Through this strategy, the Empordà Designation of Origin seeks to enhance the promotion of its wine products in urban settings, reaching a broad and diverse audience interested in gastronomy and wine culture.
