The Mas Guimbau area, part of the Vallvidrera, Tibidabo i les Planes neighborhood in Barcelona, will celebrate its Festival from September 3rd to 6th, 2026. This local festival, typically held on the first weekend of September, originated from land sales of Can Castellví de la Riera in the early 20th century, shaping the current layout of this mountain neighborhood.
This year's program boasts a variety of events designed for all ages and residents. The main activities will be centered in the small grove at Passeig de Solé i Pla, 3-5, a landmark spot in the Mas Guimbau – Can Castellví community.
The festivities will kick off on Friday, September 5th, with the Feres de Collserola (drummers from the mountain neighborhoods) at 7 PM, followed by a table tennis competition and a Bollywood dance showcase. The evening will continue with a communal dinner and a performance by the local group Lazy Minds, concluding with the main festival dance.
On Saturday, September 6th, the day begins with children's games at 11:30 AM, a musical aperitif, and in the afternoon, a football and volleyball match. Music will return with sea shanties (havaneres), and the night will feature a DJ set after a popular botifarrada (sausage feast).
Sunday, September 7th, will see the festival conclude with a family-friendly scavenger hunt to find hidden treasures in the neighborhood and a workshop on drumming and sardanes led by the Feres de Collserola.
