A woman admitted to the Hospital Clínic in Barcelona due to contact with a hantavirus case has tested negative on her third PCR and will complete her isolation at home.

The woman who was admitted to the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona for having been in contact with a person affected by the hantavirus has once again tested negative on the third PCR test performed. According to the Department of Health, the patient is well and shows no symptoms.
This improvement will allow the woman to continue her isolation at home, under active monitoring by Public Health and the SEM (Emergency Medical System), adhering to the recommended safety measures for the established protocol.
The home isolation will extend for another 14 days, completing the total of 42 days stipulated by the health protocol for such cases.
