A perceptible smell of burning has spread across Barcelona and other parts of Catalonia this Saturday, causing concern among citizens.

The cause of this sensation is not a local fire, but smoke carried by the wind from distant areas. According to the Bombers de la Generalitat (Generalitat Firefighters), the odor originates from forest fires such as those recorded in the Sierra Oeste, in Madrid, and in the Vall d’Uixó, in Castellón.
This is not the first time the city has experienced a similar phenomenon. Approximately three weeks ago, a forest fire in Aragón already caused a similar smell of burning to be noticed in Barcelona and other Catalan locations.
The situation has sparked conversations on social media, where numerous users have shared their perception of the smell, asking if it was smoke and receiving confirmations from other citizens.
