A festival statement indicated that the meteorological and technical conditions made continuation impossible. Meanwhile, thousands of attendees remained at the venue, seeking shelter and experiencing misinformation due to the downpour.

The rain also prevented the first performance in Spain by Californian rapper Doja Cat. However, the afternoon's schedule had proceeded normally, with performances by artists such as Renaldo&Clara, Oklou, and Blood Orange.

The weather forecast for this Friday in Barcelona is favorable, suggesting a second day of the festival with normal operations. Friday's lineup includes bands like The Cure, Addison Rae, and Skrillex, as well as PinkPantheress, Ethel Cain, Role Model, and Slowdive.
