High-speed train service between Barcelona Sants, Girona, and Figueres-Vilafant was restored this Sunday following a technical incident that occurred on Saturday night.

Rail operations have returned to normal after the completion of repairs to the overhead line and the removal of the affected train, as confirmed by Adif. The incident, which took place in the Sagrera area, forced the suspension of rail traffic and the implementation of alternative road transport for affected passengers.
The train involved in the breakdown was traveling between Figueres and Madrid and became stranded between the Mollet junction and Sagrera. Passengers on board were successfully evacuated on Saturday night with the assistance of the Fire Department and the coordination of Civil Protection.
