R2 Line Service Restored Between Barcelona and Castelldefels

Train services on the R2 Cercanías line between Barcelona-Sants and Castelldefels were restored this morning following a disruption due to a person being hit by a train on the tracks.

The R2 south and R2 north Cercanías lines experienced a disruption early this morning. The halt occurred between the Barcelona-Sants and Castelldefels stations, in the Baix Llobregat region, following police instructions.
Due to the incident, regional trains on lines R13, R14, R15, R16, and R17 were rerouted via Vilafranca del Penedès. Passengers were advised to seek alternative transportation.
Protecció Civil de la Generalitat temporarily activated the FerroCat plan's pre-alert as a precautionary measure during the incident management.
