The festival of music, innovation, and creativity, Sónar, is embarking on a new phase for its 33rd edition, scheduled from June 18th to 20th. This new chapter is characterized by a restructuring of its format and image, along with the incorporation of new spaces. The festival's management has announced the merger of Sónar Day and Sónar Night into a single, uninterrupted music session, which will be held at the Gran Via exhibition center.
Among the highlighted artists set to perform are international names such as The Prodigy, Speedy J's project STOOR, R&B artist Kelis, British rapper Skepta, and DJs Charlotte de Witte and Amelie Lens. Additionally, the festival is bringing back Sónar Kids, which will take place at the Fòrum, transforming this area into the Sónar District, hosting various musical events. Sónar+D, dedicated to creativity and technology, will be relocated to the Llotja de Mar.
Sónar 2026 will feature a new format: Sónar Day and Sónar Night are being eliminated and merged into a single, uninterrupted music session over three days—Thursday to Saturday.
The main stages will be located at the Fira Gran Via, including SonarClub, known for its visual and technological power; SonarVillage by Estrella Damm, on the grass for continuous sessions; SonarCar, which is regaining its circular shape; SonarHall, for live acts and DJ sets; SonarPark, an outdoor stage; and SonarLab, designed for an immersive dance experience.
Sónar+D, taking place on June 18th and 19th at the Llotja de Mar, will feature immersive installations, digital art, and experiences that blend creativity and technology. This year, for the first time, specific tickets will be available for access exclusively to this area. Notable speakers at Sónar+D include Eugene Healey, Yancey Strickler, niceaunties, Mónica Rikić, Daito Manabe, representatives from Google DeepMind, Mindy Seu, and Joana Moll.
The festival has also announced the availability of various ticket types, including full access passes like SonarPass and SonarPass+D, a Weekend Ticket for Friday and Saturday, and individual day tickets. The festival's new visual identity, designed by Barcelona-based Boldtron, portrays Sónar as a living organism in constant evolution, reflecting its experimental spirit.
