A pedestrian was injured last Friday in Barcelona's Eixample district when a piece of wiring, stolen from a residential community, fell onto the street, as confirmed by the Guàrdia Urbana.

The incident occurred when several individuals gained access to a residential community, posing as telephone company workers. Once on the rooftop, they began cutting and stealing telephone wiring from both the building they were in and two adjacent properties.
During the process of removing the material, a fragment of cable fell from the rooftop to the street, striking and injuring a passerby. This incident prompted the swift escape of the perpetrators of the robbery.
The thieves abandoned their van, which contained several pieces of allegedly stolen cable, on the street. Subsequently, the vehicle's owner was located and is now under investigation as a suspected perpetrator of a robbery with force, based on the evidence gathered and witness descriptions.
